Inspiration

My parents had always stressed how important reading is. When it was revealed that 66% of children in low-income communities don't know how to read, I realized there needed to be a change.

What it does

The program enables games to help the user learn how to read better. There are small games that the user has the choice to choose

How we built it

We built this program using python and pygame

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges that we ran into, one of them being learning how to use pygame. The other challenge was managing time and communication.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Although we were not able to incorporate audio in time. We are proud that we were able to get the program as a whole working. We were able to incorporate spelling games and madlib

What we learned

We learned how to use pygame, as well as how to incorporate audios within our program.

What's next for TechTales

We hope to develop TechTales into a a program that includes animations, and also multiplayer options.
