"From Campus to Conscious Consumption: A Journey of Transforming Waste to Sustainability

In the hallowed halls of our college, a shared realization dawned upon us, a group of passionate students: our closets were bursting with garments untouched, and our dorm rooms harbored forgotten tech relics. We couldn't ignore the trail of waste we were unknowingly leaving in our wake, semester after semester. Determined to rewrite this narrative, we embarked on a mission of mindful change.

Pooling our insights, we envisioned a dual-pronged approach: tackling the vast clothing wastage conundrum and addressing the mounting piles of discarded technology. In the face of rampant fast fashion, we sought to foster a shift towards sustainable attire. Collaborating with ethically conscious brands, we curated a collection that resonated with the style-savvy yet environmentally conscious student.

Simultaneously, we recognized the overlooked realm of e-waste – every outdated gadget and charger gathering dust. Realizing that each student held a piece of this electronic puzzle, we hatched an ingenious plan. We forged partnerships with tech wizards who could refurbish and repurpose these neglected devices, transforming them into instruments of innovation.

The climax of our vision was the seamless fusion of these concepts – a sustainable-tech haven that resonated with the college community. Our marketplace buzzed with life, offering a plethora of sustainable fashion choices that told stories of mindful creation. Meanwhile, our tech brand breathed new life into gadgets once thought obsolete, channeling them into the hands of eager learners and creators.

What it does

Introducing our groundbreaking app with a dual purpose that champions the future we envision. On the tech side, we've harnessed the collective power of tech companies, empowering them to lead the charge against electronic waste. They become conduits of change, not only collecting e-waste but also nurturing their commitment by sourcing sustainable products from our esteemed brands.

Concurrently, our sustainable side orchestrates a graceful dance of transformation. With open arms, we gather recyclable clothes and plastics, curating an ecosystem of conscious choices. Yet, this isn't merely about collecting waste; it's about crafting a future of possibility. We offer sustainable clothing as a bridge to the tech realm, creating a symbiotic collaboration that intertwines innovation and style.

Within our platform, a vibrant e-commerce hub emerges, drawing in customers eager to be part of the solution.

How we built it

We build Frontend using React Native and backend using mongoDB and Node js.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Embarking on our maiden app journey and diving into the world of React Native posed thrilling challenges. Yet, fueled by a thirst for learning, we embraced each hurdle, steadily weaving newfound knowledge into our project's fabric.
  2. Along the path, the Standard Studio presented formidable obstacles, demanding our persistence and innovation to overcome its trials.
  3. Integrating the fruits of our divided efforts into a cohesive whole was a journey of time-consuming intensity, marked by the fusion of determination and hard-earned success.
