Inspiration

Indian college students have access to countless learning resources, yet many still feel lost during placement preparation. The lack of personalized guidance, unclear skill requirements, and confusion around resumes inspired us to build an AI solution that provides structured, India-specific career direction.

What it does

TechReady AI is an AI-powered placement coach that analyzes a student’s resume, identifies skill gaps, and generates personalized career roadmaps for jobs and internships. It is tailored to Indian hiring practices, campus placements, and commonly targeted roles.

How we built it

We built TechReady AI using a web-based interface combined with AI-driven resume analysis and prompt-based intelligence. The system processes resume data, matches it against role-specific requirements, and generates actionable recommendations and learning paths.

What makes this project different

TechReady AI goes beyond resume analysis by combining skill-gap detection with time-aware and role-specific career planning. It helps students understand not only what they need to prepare, but when and how to prepare based on Indian hiring patterns.

Challenges we ran into

Designing meaningful and role-specific guidance without overcomplicating the system was a key challenge. Ensuring the advice stayed relevant to Indian placement scenarios while keeping the application simple and affordable also required careful iteration.

We successfully built an working prototype that delivers personalized, India-first placement guidance. The project balances practical usability with AI-driven insights, making career mentorship more accessible to students.

What we learned

We learned how to translate real student pain points into AI-driven solutions, design effective prompts for structured outputs, and build practical systems that prioritize usability over complexity—especially in an Indian context.

What's next for TechReady AI – Placement Coach for Indian Students

We plan to expand support for more roles, integrate mock interview feedback, add multilingual capabilities, and improve recommendations using real-world hiring data. The long-term goal is to scale TechReady AI into an affordable career guidance platform for students across Bharat.
