Technologies for the Health of Seniors

Inspiration

My grandma had two strokes and she is in the bed and wheelchair all the time at home. I hope to make technologies more accessible for her and the caregivers to improve their quality of life.

What it does

I wrote a policy brief on managing health for seniors using mobile health and smart home technologies. I suggest some ways to address the challenges and barriers faced by them using these technologies.

How we built it

Study the issues/barriers related to the use of these technologies and then suggest potential solutions in my policy brief.

Challenges we ran into

Not much data and research are readily available in this area to guide policy development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I did research and found some academic articles to support my argument and suggested solutions.

What we learned

A lot of article review and practice is needed to come up with good solutions.

Build an online community with others with the same interest to help seniors better manage health through technologies
