Inspiration
Growing up in Bangladesh, I have seen how economies often depend on a few industries while millions of young people remain unemployed. At the same time, students with great ideas are unable to pursue higher education due to financial hardship. This inspired me to imagine a world where IT entrepreneurship and technology-driven industries become the engines of both economic growth and social equity.
What it does
The project proposes a framework for technology-driven entrepreneurship that combines:
- AI for market demand prediction to reduce waste and business loss.
- AI-driven cybersecurity to protect industries and markets.
- Green tech and smart cities to build sustainable economies.
- IT Entrepreneurial Scholarships – students submit problem-solving ideas, entrepreneurs fund their studies and build real solutions.
This creates a cycle where innovation fuels productivity, reduces poverty, and expands access to education.
What I learned
I learned how technology is not just about profit, but about creating equity, opportunity, and social impact. I also realized the importance of aligning bold ideas with sustainable development goals such as reducing poverty and achieving education equity.
How I built it
I built this project as a conceptual innovation research:
- Studied global economic challenges and UNSW Societal Impact Goals.
- Designed a framework combining AI, entrepreneurship, and education equity.
- Created a pitch deck to demonstrate how this could be scaled globally.
Challenges
The biggest challenge was balancing big vision with practicality. Turning abstract goals (poverty reduction, productivity growth) into actionable technology-driven solutions required deep reflection, analysis, and creative design. I also had to make the project accessible without advanced labs or funding.
