Inspiration:

The inspiration to this solution was lead by one of the major problems we had to face in the midst of Covid - 19 lockdown. Lack of note materials and previous year question papers was the elements of the problems. We got to see a professional college having a website for the students to share their experiences throughout their B.Tech course and the notes and materials of each semester.

What it does:

The main objective of the website is that students can utilize it and obtain more knowledge about the department and its events also get study materials and previous year question papers for the respective semester. This website also allows them to showcase their talents out to the public, get information about the clubs and new events upcoming in the department.

How we built it:

We used HTML and CSS which are the fundamental blocks of any website. HTML provides the structure of the page, CSS provides the visual layouts.CSS is also used to add style to the content of a web page. HTML provides display information of various tags to the browser whereas CSS enhances that information by providing styling to those same HTML tags. In conclusion HTML allows you to build the structure of your website and CSS makes that structure come to life.

Challenges we ran into:

Challenges we faced during making this website was fixing the alignment correctly. The background colors were difficult to be fixed and the animations were a challenge too.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

The main accomplishment that we achieved through this project is that we were able to make the lives of the students much easier and more developed. With this project were able to solve many problems faced by the students. Since the classes went online at the time of covid epidemic, there was a dearth of study materials for students. Our website was created to solve this problem. Through this website students can find their study materials, notes, previous year question papers and other educational videos. In addition, this platform helps to discover and develop students artistic talents. The website also records the accurate information about the different types of clubs, the events that take place through them and also the events that take place within the department.

What we learned:

What we have learned from this project is to create a website using HTML and CSS. We learned to structure the website using HTML and also to create a layout using CSS. It was very interesting to try out new animations and background. Setting up the buttons and alignment seemed a lot easier than we thought.

What's next for Techcafe:

After this we want to extend our service through the website and also to launch a mobile application making it a little more user friendly. Mobile apps provide better user experiences, load content faster, and are easier to use. Besides, unlike websites, apps have push notifications. Sharing updates, special features, and reminders within an app makes it much more better than a website. So developing this into a mobile application is our current main point in What's next list.
