Inspiration

(View the resources demo at 50% size) It is hard for me to read and learn about dire circumstances where children can not attend school and receive basic education. I believe that each and every person has the utmost right to learn, grow and excel in their life. As rightly stated by Nelson Mandela, ‘’Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world’’. By engaging in such educational activities every child can have the opportunity of making an impact on one’s life or the entire world! This is why, it is high time, that someone starts providing learning opportunities.

What it does

TECH-TROPOLIS is an entire learning city where I connect young and blooming children with teachers to empower them to learn, engage, and grow into smart and wise adults. There are classes and live sessions that the student can attend. In addition to this, it provides some learning resources like E-BOOKS, Question papers, and Live tests. Plus Tech-Tropolis has its own forum where students can engage and interact. It also provides many internships and opportunities which can have a huge impact on one's portfolio.

How we built it

1- HTML, CSS, React JS for frontend 2- Canva and sketching for designing 3- Materialize for some frontend elements 4- Visual Studio and Replit for running the code

Challenges we ran into

1- Timezone difference: PDT and GST 2- Designs for aesthetic appeal 3- Joined the hackathon 5 hours before the deadline

Accomplishments that we're proud of

1- Developed skills in frontend, backend, and debugging. 2- Creating Tech-Tropolis to improve education 3- Improving skills in website and graphic designing.

What we learned

I improved my skills in HTML5 and CSS3 and also got comfortable with Replit. I also improved my website designing skills and got to know more about the Education sector through hours of research. In addition to this, while debugging, I discovered materialize, which really helped me in some front-end codes.

What's next for TECH-TROPOLIS

In the future, TECH-TROPOLIS will connect with other organizations and NGOs which share the same goal, Quality Education. I will also be adding some more platforms the student and teacher can communicate through. In addition to this, I will also be crowning the best student of the week and month, to motivate students.
