What it does

Tebot is a Discord bot for helping students manage their class deadlines. Students can keep track of upcoming assignments, quizzes, and exams, and be reminded of deadlines.

How we built it

Github collaboration and python, using the Discord.py library to interface with the bot.

Challenges we ran into

Working with the Discord API and managing dependencies to make the bot work smoothly. The most difficult challenges were the setup.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The first time Tebot greeted us with a "Hello!" was a very proud moment.

What we learned

We learned how to incorporate different modules and packages using Python, even when the documentation is sparse. We also got a crash course in version control to manage the contributions of our team members.

What's next for Tebot

Tebot has the potential to really help students in a number of ways, especially since students interact more in groups like Discord servers in the absence of in-person collaboration. Put Tebot on a server.
