Inspiration

Natural and man made calamities like floods, earthquake, tsunami, forest fires, crime, civil disorder, terrorism, war, biological/chemical threat etc. Cause numerous fatalities due to the disaster itself or lack of basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.

What it does

We provide to you a comprehensive software which enables to collect basic necessities such as clothes & food as charity and also be able predict the occurrence of natural and man-made calamities accurately. We bring to you a blend of these two functionalities, where in we are able to help disaster hit communities at the right time!

How we built it

Web Site We have created a fully functional web site, using html,css, and javascript. Integrating donors with refugees creating a immense purpose for shearing and donating.

Data Base An sql data base hosted using XAMPP server and php to connect the backend to the front end of our webpage!

*Data Set * We are using data sets of past 10 years of weather data to help us build our ML predicting algorithm.

Challenges we ran into

We had to set up an algorithm to decide the factors for raising the warning for future calamities we had to comprehensively design using data analytics and IBM Z tools

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This project of ours helps us serve the society in the best possible way , we are essentially saving millions of lives using our program.

What we learned

we had an immense learning experience : we learnt more about IBM Z tools and their implementations we learnt about how Present day ML and data analytics can help solve real world problems like handling major natural disasters.

What's next

As technology continues to penetrate our daily lives, we can expect Quikare to progress and include more IBM Z Tool channels like advanced ML algorithms, Deep learning Modules through which we Maximize the accuracy with which we predict the calamities by which more and more people can take advantage of in years to come.
