Inspiration

We initially wanted to do optimization for energy but we then stumbled upon a pressing issue regarding climate change in Indonesia.

What it does

Our AI model final output is a dashboard where we describe a company's carbon footprint, emission by type, benchmark against sectoral competitions. Then from there we forecast their carbon emission in the next X years and then prescribe them ways to help reduce their emissions.

How we built it

So for the dashboard, we made it using Figma. As time constraint during this hackathon is one of the major issues for us we didn't manage to code out anything yet. However, we have made flowcharts on how the model would work and the tech we need to implement for it to work.

Challenges we ran into

As this is not something you really learn during university, a lot of things were very new to us as we had to search the technologies to implement and like rationalize its uses given our domain knowledge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of what we made, especially the fact that we managed to push through ourselves throughout this event given our limited knowledge and produce something that might possibly be a solution for action against climate change.

What we learned

We learned a lot during this experience, how hard it is to ideate and even from the idea itself, the implementation part we realize is no joke as there is so much thing that we still need to learn even after finishing this experience. But asides from technical things, we learned not to tunnel vision as our mentor mentioned that we really spent a lot of time doing something not realistically possible in 3 days. Asides from that we really learned how to function as a team, how to delegate tasks, and most importantly trust each other in the process.
