Inspiration

We all have busy lives and keep feeling like we are not caught up with our friends. We wanted an easy, no-frills tool that helped us maintain relationships and stay in touch with those we care about.

What it does

A simple tool that tracks friends you haven't connected with in a while. Offers an easy way for you to remember key events in their lives and reach out to them with the click of a button

How we built it

We used Lovable's no-code platform to build the complete app from scratch

Challenges we ran into

Collaborating on a project is difficult as only one person's prompts can run at a time. Lovable did not have the ability to modularize the different features into distinct files that could be worked on independently by team members.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We workshopped the idea and brought it to life within the span of hours. Working with such efficiency while managing competing priorities, in a team of genuine friends, has been really rewarding.

What we learned

AI is a powerful tool that can make things very easy for us. However, it also takes away a lot of the technical learnings that we would get if we struggled through the project as a traditional software developer. We learned that to deliver a truly exceptional, it is important to still have a basic understanding of how the code is functioning so that we can debug issues (especially issues that require integrating open source APIs into the app)
