Startify

Private investors, large corporations, and industry leaders are constantly searching for the next startup on the verge of blowing up. Whether it's the next Facebook or a startup deemed for explosive growth, everyone wants to secure their place in the next big thing. Startify is a web application that allows individuals to see exactly which startups are destined to explode in growth. By scraping the web for highly credible financial sources, Startify is able to collect the most updated quantifiable data metrics in order to determine the startups investment potential. By creating a unique financial algorithmic process to determine the invest rating of each startup, the user is able to confidently invest and companies are confidently able to buy.

The true inspiration of this project came from our passion and sheer curiosity to dive into the world of startups, and give young emerging talent a say in the industry. By giving venture capitalists, and large corporations a tool to determine which startups will "blow up", it will allow for the diversification of the financial market because it will allow for smaller companies with massive talent to excel. In order to build our project, we utilized a diverse tech stack. For our front end, we used Next.js, TypeScript, and HTML. In the backend, we used Python, ChromaDB for our vector database, and LangChain to communicate with the database. When creating this project, we faced a wide array of problems. Our biggest problem was merging the front end with the back, and scraping specific websites for key relevant data.
