Ever feel like your current internet plan is not enough? Slow speed or poor accessibility? Take 20 second of your time to receive quick personalized feedback on what you could to make a change.
As a fully beginner team, we decided to look for inspiration in the sponsor challenges. We felt very completed by Frontier's opportunity to develop a relatively small, front-end project with lots of learning opportunities.
What it does
The website is meant to be an extension to the current Frontier's toolkit. It provides the user with quick network troubleshooting, while allowing for the company to collect data and advertise their product.
How we built it
We started out with mainly React and built our project around what we felt was realistic to achieve for 3 beginners.
Challenges we ran into
None of use were truly front-end experts, nor did we know how to integrate good amount of personalization or good UI design.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have developed such a detailed and clean code-base, which is pretty easy to follow. Additionally, knowing that we tried to develop a real-life solution that could be a lot more tailored and streamlined for deployment is a good feeling.
What we learned
React is easier than one might think but styling is definitely a big challenge.
What's next for Frontier Assistant
We'd love to finish the project outside of HackUTD to add a personalized chat bot and dynamic user data analysis. Add backend, in other words....
