The Breeze That Moves Us:

In a modern world where time is money, efficiency in data handling is so important. Therefore, as a group of Freshmen, we thought it best to begin dipping our toes into the waters of data analytics and try to see where the wind would take us!

The Leaf and It's Ripple:

Jayhawk_Organize is a .Tech Website that uses a combination of Web Crawler/Scrap.py (Spider), Flask, HTML, CSS, and python (including matplotlib & numpy) to create an efficient way to process data from tables on a website, into graphs. All for the sake of visualizing data flow for companies.

#Rocks Don't Stop Ripples, They Just Redirect Them:

As Freshmen, many of the resources and tech available for data analytics were new to us. There were major learning curves for every aspect of the project, where each team member had to embark on a journey to learn a new skill that was essential for completing the task: Web crawling, Matplotlib, Flask—even how to put together a vast range of variables and data sets to make a cohesive unit.

Additionally, each member of our team had different backgrounds in coding (ranging from 2 years of high school classes to just half a semester of python in college) and life experiences, which further enhanced the learning process through an interesting blend of ideas, opinions, and methods.

Finally, while there were moments when it seemed we would not even be able to submit a working project, we are all very proud of the effort, perseverance, and time we've dedicated to Jayhawk_JOrganize—I mean, how many Freshmen can say they learned how to scrape data from websites and interpret it in website with graphics, all at their first hackathon?
