Inspiration
based on the event that happened on 24 September 2015 that is described as a "crush and stampedes" which had a huge negative impact emotionally and physically. we planned enhance the hajj experience to to be smooth and successful by minimize the "crush and stampede"using a contact-aware crowd prediction model.
What it does
It is web application that predicts the crowded areas using a prediction model and designed features /(collected and generated dataset).This application is able to send alerts of the crowded areas and three stages of intervention recommendations as well as the probability of the "crush and stampede".
How we built it
designing and implementing a prediction model using: Weka Data Mining/Machine learning Software, Weka API,Java , Javascript, HTML5, Google Maps API,Bootstrap, Photoshop,illustrator.
Challenges we ran into
Lack of current and actual data, small amount of the instances. Lack of actual features (the collected data type) used in the hajj datasource. SO, we solved this by generating your own dataset.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we are proud of the work overflow/supportness and the smoothness between the team members. the features that we have done at the first day to break the guiness record. MOST importantly we invest our time effort for a very important event islamically/ and world wide
What we learned
How huge are the efforts to satisfy pilgrim need during short time. everything is possible.
