Inspiration
As counterfeiters continue to evolve and use new techniques to avoid detection, we wanted to offer a solution that helps facilitate information sharing on a real-time basis and increase transparency across the supply chain to help detect counterfeit goods more easily.
What it does
Our tool can help increase transparency across the supply chain for products by making it easier to track and look up information on the product using RFID, as well as making it easier to report counterfeit and view past incidents to help identify patterns to detect counterfeiting.
How we built it
We used Python and PyQt6 to create our tool.
Challenges we ran into
One of our main challenges was trying to think of a solution that would be helpful to the private and public sectors as well as the end user for the products.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have worked together in our team, having insightful discussions and helping each other, to come up with the solution we proposed for this hackathon.
What we learned
We learned that there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to combating counterfeiting.
What's next for Team HF2: Chain Checker
We hope to continue to add more features to the tool and think of more ways to combat counterfeiting.
