Inspiration

We were inspired mainly by the lack of coordination during electoral process and we wanted to make it better.

What it does

Our application offers the convenience of remote voting from the comfort of one's home. Additionally, to cater to individuals without smartphone access, we have established dedicated voting centers, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.

How we built it

We leveraged Power Apps to construct our application, incorporating a user-friendly form for voters to input their information and select their preferred party. Following this, we seamlessly collected and stored voter details within the DataVerse. Subsequently, we harnessed the power of Power BI to analyze and visualize this data, enabling us to derive accurate and insightful results from the voting session.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered challenges in establishing a seamless data connection to Power BI, which necessitated extensive modifications within our application. These adjustments were vital to ensure the desired presentation of data and its alignment with our objectives in Power BI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take immense pride in several key accomplishments within our project. Firstly, we achieved seamless data integration by successfully connecting our data to Power BI, enabling us to leverage its powerful analytical and visualization capabilities. Secondly, we designed a user-friendly interface within our Power Apps, ensuring an accessible and efficient voting experience for all users. Furthermore, we excelled in data collection and secure storage within the DataVerse, showcasing our expertise in data management. Lastly, our diligent use of Power BI allowed us to analyze and visualize collected data, ultimately providing accurate and insightful results for the voting session. These achievements underscore our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in developing our e-voting application.

What we learned

Our journey has been a valuable learning experience. We acquired the essential skill of connecting data collected through our Power App to Power BI, empowering us to harness the full potential of data analysis. Additionally, our project taught us the importance of effective teamwork, highlighting the significance of collaboration and communication in achieving our goals.

What's next for Team Dashboard

What lies ahead for Team Dashboard is an exciting continual improvement and growth journey. We are dedicated to enhancing our application and adding new functionalities to empower our users further. Moreover, we plan to invest in ongoing education, taking additional courses to expand our knowledge and skillset.
