Inspiration

There is a vast spectrum of people who use rideshare apps, and this robust cross-section of people intersect their need for safe mobility.

Users want to reinstate their mobility, comfortably. To do so, they need a solution that keeps them and those around them accountable for their health.

In addition to getting people back to work, faster, companies like Uber want to mitigate opportunities for liability of non-compliance by their contract workers. To do so, they need a solution that incentivizes drivers and passengers alike to obtain the 'verifiable credential' of low-risk of exposure to coronavirus to use their service.

What it does

Blockchain technology is a highly-secure system of public accountability. Incentives to participate in this system drive trust directly proportional to its size. Using ArcBlock's ABT Wallet to capture contact tracing anonymously via local Bluetooth and encrypted/verified patient-provider communication to holistically assess exposure risk, we keep the public informed and get them back on the road.

How it works

We identified the transportation sector as our target market because of the inherent diversity of its operators, its higher potential for quicker returns, and its connection to other sectors (namely energy). Companies like Uber also have mobile experiences and a system of accountability for drivers and passengers already set up, simplifying integration with ABT Wallet and with other relevant connections therein.

Receiving the 'verifiable credential' of your level of risk and any change to it is influenced (in no particular order) by instances of self-assessment through an implementation of Mayo Clinic's COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, swab test results confirmed by a healthcare provider, Bluetooth contact-tracing, and instances of telemed communication as a followup to any of the above or with the goal of post-recovery/quarantine clearance.
