Inspiration
Inspired by the potential for technology to drive positive change, our group decided on problem statement 3 to re-design and develop further the Unicorns For Good Website for the social innovation park. Our goal is to use our technical skills to create innovative solutions and appealing designs for the website.
What it does
The purpose of our website is to be a Resource Centre, promote Innovation and Collaboration and Lead Collection. We have a Tech/Futuristic design interface, a logical workflow to collect leads/partners and track specific metrics to optimise our target audience better.
How we built it
For frontend, we used java react and antd for design libraries.
For backend, we used .net core/c# and firebase.
Challenges we ran into
The duration of the hackathon being only a week was a challenge as it required prioritizing key tasks and delegating work based on individual strengths. Despite the limited time, our team utilized individual strengths to deliver a functional tech-for-good website through efficient planning and collaboration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a functional tech-for-good website in just one week for this hackathon is a significant accomplishment, demonstrating our team's chemistry, technical skills, and commitment to making a positive impact. By successfully delivering this website despite the time crunch, our team displayed teamwork, creativity, and the ability to find innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment, which we are proud of.
What we learned
First, time management and prioritization: Due to the tight deadline, we developed our skills in effectively managing their time and prioritizing tasks.
Second, collaboration and teamwork: Participating in this hackathon provides the opportunity to work with a team of diverse individuals with different strengths. This opportunity enhances our communication and collaboration skills.
Last, improving our technical skills: This hackathon provided us with the opportunity to work on a challenging problem statement, helping each of us further develop our coding, design, and problem-solving skills.
