Inspiration
Naturally, species have higher chances of survival by working together in community. High-performing collaborative work helped our ancestors survive and prosper through hunting, agriculture, and exploration processes working as one organized entity. So my next question is "Have we changed?" "Is working individually yields more progress than working as a group?" No. Bipartite and multipartite collaboration is still the optimal way to reach goals that is impossible to achieve individually. We can see it every where: in business corporations' production, military's affairs and government's political parties. All of them try to achieve some goals that can not be achieved individually. So why should students use less efficient way of studying by working alone at schools? For many students, education became a job and personal goal. And yet, studying alone is not the optimal way of achieving high-academic performance. More skilled and experienced we get more we understand the importance of teamwork. However, some students have difficulty to find peers or other students to work together on puzzled school classes. This happens because some students are introverts, ethnically different, have language barrier and possess different skills levels. That's where our project kicks in. The project connects students with different skills, personal traits and conditions whose collaboration can improve overall and individuals' performance.
And before we realized the importance of working collaboratively, I was studying through all middle- and high- school by myself, using time inefficiently by trying to figure out everything by myself. More educated we get more we understand the importance of teamwork. However, some students have difficulty to find peers or other students to work together on puzzled school classes. That's where our project kicks in. The project connects students with different skills and conditions which can improve overall and individuals' performance.
What we learned
We started our project intending to create a website, and in our early draft we learned quite a lot about maintaining a MySQL backend and creating a connection to this database to connect to a frontend. We learned more about PHP, Javascript, etc. Due to our lack of experience with website design, we decided to make a Python application demonstrating our algorithm. It would be scalable to a website level.
