Our Robot - Sir Crab

Inspiration

We used inspiration from basic robotic drive movements and guidelines from the closed-challenge robotics kit.

What it does

The robot can complete challenge courses 1 and 2 using the colour detection sensor and the ultrasonic sensor.

How we built it

The robot is assembled from the provided closed challenge kit and we hot-glued pins and components for additional strength and stability.

Challenges we ran into

A large challenge we faced was the accuracy of motor movements due to the lack of an encoder. Another challenge was being able to position ourselves correctly in the first challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being a team of only 3 and almost all beginners we learned a lot through assembling the robot and working with Arduino for the first time. We are super proud of the tasks we were able to complete!
