In the heart of our society, a pressing and dire issue persists—countless pregnant women, especially those from rural and low-income backgrounds, are grappling with a lack of access to proper healthcare facilities, essential support, and expert guidance. Maternal healthcare still remains a top global and national priority and challenges continue in many low and middle-income countries. coverage of life-saving health interventions and practices remains low due to gaps in knowledge, policies and availability of resources. In a few areas there is a gap between the rich and the poor and an urban and rural divide. Access to health services is often dependent on a families’ or mother’s economic status and where they reside. This alarming gap in maternal healthcare is exacting a toll, leading to preventable tragedies and critical health issues. Many women remain oblivious to the indispensable essentials of pregnancy, a void that often culminates in fatal maternity complications.
What it does
MaternaSage aims to revolutionize maternal healthcare by offering a comprehensive suite of solutions: Virtual Maternity Hub: A central platform where pregnant women can access a wealth of information, services, and support, catering to all aspects of their maternal journey. Expert Guidance: Connect women with experienced doctors and specialists for virtual consultations, offering them expert advice regardless of their location. Personalized Care Plans: Tailor care plans to each woman's unique health needs, ensuring that they receive guidance aligned with their individual circumstances. Health Information: Provide comprehensive and reliable information about pregnancy, maternal care, nutrition, exercises, and common queries.

Challenges we ran into
Technical Integration: Integrating various features like virtual consultations, appointment booking, and multilingual support while ensuring seamless user experience posed technical complexities. User Experience Design: Designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface that caters to both tech-savvy and tech-averse users while maintaining a consistent look and feel was a balancing act. Content Accuracy: Curating accurate and up-to-date medical content and information was challenging, requiring collaboration with medical experts to provide trustworthy resources.

User-Centric Design: Creating a visually appealing and user-centric design that caters to the needs of both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy users, enhancing accessibility and engagement. Multilingual Support: Offering multilingual support to make essential healthcare information accessible to a diverse range of users, breaking language barriers. It has a pdf generator funcationality which gives the prescription recommended by doctor in the patients account
