Our group built a device that determines if noise levels in an area are safe for users with auditory sensitivities or disabilities. We used an esp32 microcontroller,two microphone sound sensor modules, and an OLED display. We ran into some issues with 3d printing a user friendly case for the device, but we found ways to improvise and work around those issues. We are very proud of our ability to work effectively as a group and we learned a lot about how to adapt to unfamiliar working environments and overcome tough challenges.Our project was inspired by the lack of accessibility for people with auditory disabilities and we hope to create a sleeker design, and develop a more advanced user interface in the future.
