Inspiration

As a team of language learners, we are excited about learning new languages and connecting with various cultures. However, based on our own experiences in the US educational system, we discovered a widespread issue: many students spend years studying a foreign language but struggle to retain much by the time they graduate. We believe this occurs because learning a new language is challenging and demands more support than what is typically offered in schools. Students struggle to master foreign languages in the United States because the learning process isn't engaging or entertaining. With this in mind, we built Langmates to support students in their language learning journey and make this process more enjoyable and effective.
