[Team 40] Wonder Women

Inspiration

We were inspired by the amount of stories that we had heard growing up about the struggles that women faced in working environments.

What it does

Our website is an interactive and informal platform which provides Ted Talks from women in various career fields, we have a page which displays an interactive map which shows organizations around the world which help women with find stable careers. We have another page which lets the user talk to a ChatBot which shows the statistical values of the number of women in different fields. Also, we have an inspirational quote page which displays uplifting quotes.

How we built it

We started off with a rough sketch of how we wanted our website to look. Then we went ahead and started coding each page one-by-one, by first coding the career page, then the quotes page, and finally the ChatBot and organizations page.

Challenges we ran into

A few challenges we ran into include coding the ChatBot and coding the interactive map because these two pages required extra coding research.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we got the interactive map to work and also the ChatBot to successfully work.

What we learned

We learned how to manage our time and prioritize which tasks we should focus on more.

What's next for [Team 40] Wonder Women

We would like to make our map and ChatBot more efficient, because at the moment they provide minimal information.
