Inspiration
We are a group of Robotics engineers and creative technologies, who not only work with software but hardware as well and we personally faced challenges while building projects and collaborating with teams on building on someone else’s work when it comes to hardware. Individuals who work on hardware have the knowledge but the other person has to spend great deal of time reverse engineering what the other person did to continue building on top of it.
Upon talking to our classmates and noticing these exact problem patterns in our day to day workings, we decided to work on this project to help companies with robotics engineers and creative technologist create a digital twin to help new individuals who are joining organizations to pick up where they are previous coworker left off. Me and Hrishitaa have both been in a similar situation and work and completely identify with the problem which motivated us to work on this.
What it does
Build hardware faster with real-time, interactive guidance delivered right through your smart glasses. Cocoon acts as institutional memory for hardware teams, capturing the tacit knowledge that walks out the door when engineers leave, and delivering it back to the floor as a personalized AI co-worker digital twin.
How we built it
We integrated Mentra Glasses with Gemini to train the model and replicate performance
Challenges we ran into
We had difficulty isolating background noise and the ai processing time was also really long and had to be optimized
