We are Opt-Aid, a solution to healthcare resource planning. During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most pressing issues we face is the hospitals and health care centers being overwhelmed. Inefficient resource allocation can mean the difference between life-saving treatment and viral tragedy and unfortunately, as a society, we were unprepared to deal with a health crisis on this scale. Comprised of a multidisciplinary team with a background in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and economics, Opt-Aid plans to attack the problem of resource allocation and patient management in the healthcare system to enable the treatment of all patients effectively, including patients infected with Coronavirus.
