Inspiration

The issue of children facing barriers to education, whether due to child labor or lack of access to education, is a significant concern globally. Access to quality education is a fundamental right for all children, as recognized by the United Nations in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

How we built it

Our website facilitates user login as individuals and NGOs, with certain features yet to be implemented, notably photo uploading for children in need of education. However, we successfully incorporated a search functionality where users can discover NGOs based on specific facilities they offer, and NGOs can search individuals based on their entered skills. Despite the pending photo upload feature, our platform aims to connect NGOs and individuals efficiently. NGOs can showcase their services and outreach efforts, while users can search for NGOs providing suitable facilities. Likewise, NGOs can scout for individuals possessing desired skills for their projects. By bridging this connection gap, we aspire to foster collaboration between NGOs and individuals, enabling a more effective response to the educational needs of deserving children.

Challenges we ran into

As a first-year team, we embarked on creating a website, despite being unfamiliar with both front-end and back-end development. Determined to overcome the challenge, we united as a team and began learning from scratch. Through collective efforts, we acquired the necessary skills to build the website from the ground up. Despite the initial lack of expertise, our team's dedication enabled us to create a functional platform. This journey not only strengthened our technical abilities but also fostered teamwork and perseverance. The experience of learning and building together has been invaluable, marking an inspiring start to our web development endeavors.
