Inspiration
Our inspiration was to teach people about climate change and why it is important to be informed.
What it does
It is separated in sections that first inform the user what climate change is. Then it prompts the user to continue their own research through provided links. After users can use the tips on the website to reduce their carbon footprint in their own lives.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS to design and style our website.
Challenges we ran into
We started with four teammates and then two were absentee the day of and were no shows. One team member showed up late and left again midway only to come back at the very end, leaving Sofia and Leslie to finish it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of all the work we put in and the cohesiveness of the project. We were able to listen to each others ideas well and work off of each other. Another part that we were really proud of was being able to implement a navigation bar to guide the user.
What we learned
We were able to learn more climate change and computer science at the same time. We learned how to collaborate and divide up work. We also learned how to organize code in a manner that is readable and easy to understand.
What's next for Team 23-Project Climate Change
We hope to be able to add more up to date resources about climate change. Maybe we could include interviews with scientists in the future. We would also like to have a forum or a way for users to leave comments and interact with other young activists.
