Inspiration
Our members came up with this idea by first thinking about hosting a fashion show, but we thought of selling products and art as well. The app was inspired by already existing apps and platforms such as Spotify, Etsy, Shopee, GiveLively, ArtSteps, Messenger, Facebook, VLive. The difference between these apps is that these apps cater TO Filipinos and promote Filipino culture and art.
What it does
We need to find a way to give them their income, as well as spread and promote Philippine culture. A loss of their income is also a loss for our economy. Our culture is part of who we are, and we’ve lost enough of ourselves in this quarantine.
We’ve decided on focusing on promoting artisans and native tribes and providing a source of income for them.
Our solutions will provide for artisans and promote our culture, while adjusting to social distancing measures
How we built it
We mostly came up with this from our own interests, fashion and the Internet. A lot of talking and chatting, revising and research.
Challenges we ran into
There were times that we weren't active at the same times or at all, and the time differences were also difficult to get over.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working together, and looking at things from different perspectives.
What we learned
Some of us learned that there were actually people who were already incorporating our culture into our daily lives, while others were amazed at the possibilities technology has to offer.
What's next for TEAM 205- Trunk Show and App
Our Trunk Show being a success, and maybe the development of the app.
