Inspiration
Our society tends to prioritize a few popular career paths, leading many students to overlook a wide array of options available to them. This limited mindset, driven by societal norms and financial concerns, restricts students from exploring their true potential and often leads to dissatisfaction in their chosen careers. There is a growing need for a comprehensive platform that helps students explore career options across diverse subjects. The traditional focus on science and technology careers has often overshadowed other fields, leading to a lack of awareness about opportunities in subjects like history, geography, philosophy, biology, and more.
What it does
The project aims to revolutionize the career selection process by creating a web application with a comprehensive database of diverse career domains and subfields, regularly updated to reflect evolving trends. The user-friendly interface enables easy exploration through clear categories and search functionalities. Detailed career insights emphasize each option's description, scope and career opportunities.

- Able to work in team and coordinating with other members
What we learned
- Developing the web application provided an opportunity to enhance our skills in the chosen technology stack. We gained hands-on experience with technologies like React for the frontend and Express.js for the backend, which will be valuable in future projects.
- The hackathon's time constraints necessitated efficient time management. We prioritized tasks and allocated time appropriately to meet deadlines and deliver a functional project.
- Receiving feedback from mentors and peers allowed us to identify areas of improvement. We learned to adapt and incorporate suggestions to enhance the project's overall quality.
- While working on the project, we deepened our understanding of the career guidance domain. Researching and curating information about diverse career fields and their subfields enriched our knowledge about various industries and professions.
