Team 15, PowerUp Girls

Inspiration

Our inspiration is the students. They need a way to share ideas, work with mentors, and expand the program reach all while building community and making a difference. We were inspired by Buffalo-based nonprofits, SKOOL and ASHOKA.

What it does

It enables students to have an interactive platform where students can creatively collaborate, track project completion, and work without a teacher simultaneously. ​Students need a space to lead and develop belonging where they can solve real world solutions.

How we built it

We used Copilot, Canva, powerpoint, and ChatGBT to help design this platform.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to collaborate in a loud setting, we were down a team member, and experienced some time management issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We practiced creative problem solving skills, resilience to overcome challenges, and create a solution we are proud.

What we learned

We learned how to work together creatively as a team.

What's next for Team 15, PowerUp Girls

Winning and effectively sharing the importance of non-profits and the role they play to go out into the Buffalo area and share the importance of technology.
