  Team 15 (Next Chapter Navigators) – Bridging Youth

Inspiration

To come with an efficient way to help stop the youth homelessnes problem in Ottawa.

What it does

Our idea is an algorithmic survey that would identify transitional aged-youth and connect them with the services they need and otherwise would have difficulty accessing.

How we built it

The idea incorporated an implementation plan, which included a pilot study. We also thought of all the relevant stakeholders that would contribute to the conception of our idea.

Challenges we ran into

Defining the logistics of the survey and the scalability of it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Presenting a potentially efficient and long-term solution to help transitional aged-youth at-risk of homelessness.

What we learned

That youth homelessness is a multi-faceted issue and schools can help to play a role to help those that might be most at-risk.

What's next for Team 15 (Next Chapter Navigators) - Bridging Youth

To hopefully think about the overall feasibility of our idea and how it could potentially be implemented.
