The problem presents a challenge in terms of developing a predictive model that accurately forecasts future sales figures. This inspired us to believe in the potential for significant real-world impact as striving to understand the underlying factors driving sales performance across different companies can certainly contribute to improving the operational efficiency and profitability of businesses.
One notable feature of our model includes the "Employee efficiency ratio" using total sales / total employees. This demonstrates our out-of-the-box thinking when mining the dataset for insightful analysis.
It was indeed challenging to navigate the huge volume of the dataset as it was tough to discover trends among the complex interactions between the variables. Meaningful visualisations were also tough to produce as a result.
Overall, we believe that we have picked the most suitable variables that influence sales outcome and tuned it accordingly based on the model selected to assist companies in making strategic decisions.
