Inspiration
When it comes to consumer electronics, those living in Singapore are often spoilt for choice. Singapore's strategic location at the crossroads of major shipping routes have afforded its residents with an abundance of options when it comes to their basic and aspirational purchases.
The backbone of these smooth operations are hardworking people and robust inventory management systems. Demand forecasting models undoubtedly play a massive role in helping companies like Singtel delight customers on a daily basis.
What it does
This project crunches the data provided for Problem Statement 1 and attempts to build a demand forecasting model for mobile devices.
How we built it
It was built with Python on Jupyter Notebooks.
Challenges we ran into
Selecting an appropriate demand forecasting model and determining whether seasonality affects mobile device sales.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Managed to connect the dots of how different levers can affect consumer purchasing decisions.
What we learned
Gained an appreciation for how different business units of an organization (such as procurement and marketing) can work together to promote and fulfill demands for mobile devices.
What's next for Team 10_DemandForecastingSingtel
