Many of us had taken on TA positions in the past, and most of the tasks we were given were logistical, which made us aware of teachers who had to handle everything individually.

TeachersPET is a Superhuman AI agent that connects to a teacher’s Google Drive and email, learning their materials and communication style. It drafts replies, organizes files, and handles routine logistics, while the teacher reviews everything before it goes out.

An error we encountered was updating access permissions for writing and viewing document text without providing accurate information. When the AI didn’t have sufficient information, it would hallucinate and auto respond so we had to ensure that it flagged misinformation and requested permission before completing an action

An accomplishment we are proud of was editing the AI agent so that it could detect the document the teacher was on and automatically flag it using triggers, mimicking Grammarly's actions. We are also grateful for the help from Superhuman Go’s judges, who helped us immensely along the way.

We learned that the most valuable AI features are often the simplest ones, removing small repetitive tasks. Next, we want to connect TeachersPET to Canvas, which requires a teacher enterprise account to access its API.
