About Teach an AI
Inspiration
AI is becoming a part of everyday life, but most people only see the answers it gives. They never get to experience what it's like to actually teach an AI. We wanted to build something that lets people interact with AI in a different way and better understand how it learns from the information they provide.
What it does
Teach an AI is an interactive web application where users teach an AI by giving it information and watching how it responds. Instead of only asking questions, users become the teacher and can experiment with different prompts to see how the AI reacts.
How we built it
We built Teach an AI using Next.js and React. We spent most of our time designing an interface that was easy to use and creating a custom 3D mascot to make the experience more engaging. We also focused on making the interactions feel smooth so users could stay focused on teaching the AI.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was finding the right balance between making the project simple and still making it interesting. AI can be a complicated topic, so we wanted people to learn by interacting with it instead of reading long explanations. We also spent a lot of time improving the interface and polishing small details to make the project feel complete.
What we learned
This project helped us learn more about designing better user experiences and building applications around AI. We also learned how important it is to explain technical ideas in a way that anyone can understand.
What's next
We want to keep expanding Teach an AI by adding more ways to interact with the AI, more learning activities, and better ways to show what the AI has learned. We also want to continue improving the experience based on feedback from users.
