Inspiration

In today's fast-paced world, students struggle to keep their notes organized, access quick explanations, and get personalized learning support. Traditional note-taking methods are outdated, and AI has the potential to transform education. We envisioned tCubed - Talk Tuah Tutor as a next-generation note-making app that goes beyond just writing—helping students learn, understand, and excel with AI-driven assistance.

What it does

tCubed is an AI-powered notes app designed to enhance learning by integrating typed and handwritten notes, AI-driven explanations, and interactive features.

Key Features:

Course Spaces: Organize all your subjects in one place.
Typed & Handwritten Notes: Seamlessly take and store notes in both formats.
Desmos Graphing Integration: Graph functions directly within the app.
AI Tutors (ELIM5-trained GPT models):
- Lovelace: A text-based chatbot for instant Q&A.
- Easel: Extracts questions from handwritten notes or board writings and sends them to GPT for solutions.
- Magick: Generates 1-2 minute AI-powered videos to explain complex topics.
Voice Integration: ElevenLabs TTS API converts AI-generated responses into speech for accessibility.

How we built it

Frontend: Developed using React for a smooth and interactive UI.
Authentication: Implemented Auth0 for secure login.
Backend: Powered by Python to process AI queries.
AI Models: Fine-tuned GPT models trained on ELIM5 to provide specialized learning assistance.
Desmos API: Integrated for advanced function graphing.
ElevenLabs TTS API: Enables voice interaction for an engaging learning experience.

Challenges we ran into
