This is my BE470 final project. We were both athletes in high school. After sufferring a major concussion and seeing many around us being diagnosed with the same, we wanted to try and help identify the potential brain damage as early as possible. Products on the market currently come as attachments, so we thought by concealing our sensors and components inside of a sweatband, we would allow more athletes to use the device. While we are not able to diagnose a concussion, just like many of the products on the market today, we are simply looking to identify immediately when a player should be medically examined to avoid any chances of further brain injury.
