Inspiration

Our inspiration for LearnAI comes from the sweeping integration of AI throughout the internet. We want to provide a guided learning opportunity for children, teenagers, and people that want to better understand AI.

Summary

LearnAI is a website that utilizes modules with interactive components to teach key concepts about AI in a easy to approach manner.

Implementation

We used GitHub Copilot to develop an HTML and CSS webpage outline. After that, we researched current information to display key details about AI and populate each module. Finally, we used JavaScript to create interactive elements that enhance a user's learning.

Challenges

We initially struggled to develop a design that maintained a simple identity that satisfied all our criteria. Initial prototypes did not effectively convey key learning concepts due to problems in layout design. This resulted in them being difficult to follow and understand. We ended up refining the order of content in learning modules, and eventually settled on a design that met our standards.

Accomplishments

We are proud of developing a scalable system that invites people to contribute their own guides to AI on our GitHub repository.

Growth

We learned how to utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a professional manner. Our research gave us insights into new user's interactions with LLMs, as well as current day concerns in AI safety.

Future

We are excited to prepare LearnAI for user contributions to better expand our guides to accommodate newer and more advanced aspects of AI. We want to utilize our communities diverse backgrounds to bring all perspectives to a field that is constantly evolving.
