Inspiration
Teachers play an essential role in the academic success of all the children they teach. However, it is critical that they play an even more dominant role in helping children who are facing academic failure and/or performing below their academic potential. Admittedly, this isn’t an easy task with a classroom full of other students who also need the teacher’s help and guidance. Whether you're an educator, learner, or science professional, it can be difficult to find the time, resources, and support you need to reach your potential. So we wanted to help our teachers by creating a platform where they can manage their time to do many things.
What it does
It will make teachers' daily tasks easily manageable. One of the tiresome tasks is preparing questions, this bot will help our dear teachers by generating a question based on a given topic. Aside from that, if the teacher wants to create a virtual lab for his/her students, they can just get the link from our bot and forward their request to the website. Teachers can easily google from our bot (both on google and youtube). Teachers need different materials for their class and they often need to go to stationaries, and our bot simplifies that task by helping them find stationery near them.
How we built it
We used cohere-telegram-bot-API and React for the front end and Node for the back end.
Challenges we ran into
Unfortunately, we had network connectivity and electricity issues. That was mostly the problem, due to that we weren't able to communicate well or even install necessary packages which stopped us from including many features that we were thinking of at first.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are so happy we made this project for every teacher in the world and we are proud of it.
What we learned
We learned a lot about tailwindcss and cohere ai.
Github use
Used GitHub proficiently divides the work assign the issue on GitHub and work together. Make PR and merge it.
What's next for teacher Aid
We want to add more features like a scheduling system for teachers to track their schedules.
