Inspiration
We wanted to bring a trust-based model online, making saving social, goal-driven, and accessible โ especially for young earners and Tier-2/Tier-3 users.
What it does
Our app allows users to create or join โSavings Circlesโ โ small, trusted groups where members save towards a common or personal goal (like a phone, emergency fund, or trip). Key features:
๐ Search and join public or private savings circles.
๐ฏ Set collective or individual savings goals.
๐ Track group progress in real-time.
(Upcoming) ๐ Reminder and streak system for accountability.
(Upcoming) ๐ Auto-debit via UPI Autopay for seamless, recurring saving.
How we built it
Built using Bolt
Challenges we ran into
Implementing secure and reliable UPI AutoPay is non-trivial due to regulatory restrictions and limited access to live UPI debit APIs.
Managing state sync across multiple users in a live circle session.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created a full-stack MVP with end-to-end working flow of creating/joining circles and adding saving goals.
Designed a clean, mobile-friendly interface that feels intuitive even for first-time users.
Encouraged a savings-first mindset through social accountability, a proven behavioral finance strategy.
What we learned
Behavioral nudges and group psychology can meaningfully improve saving habits.
Building financial apps requires a strong focus on trust, transparency, and simplicity.
UPI integration (especially AutoPay) involves banking partnerships and careful compliance work โ something we'll pursue post-hackathon.
What's next for GoalTogether
โ Integrate UPI Autopay via Razorpay or Setu to enable real-time recurring savings. ๐ Add ledger/history view and simple withdrawal workflow. ๐ Introduce group streaks, badges, and goal-sharing features.
