Introduction

Modified the prompts of ChatRPG app in PartyRock.aws to make the chatbot assume the role of a quest master. Quests are personalized according to the player's background including any powers and talents they have. Players are given three choices at each step of the quest, with one bad choice that's supposed to end the quest with a failure. Encouragement is given if player failed the quest. A worthy reward is given if the quest was a success.

Challenges

  • Quest master does not always give players 3 choices.
  • Quest master does not always give players a bad choice leading to failure.
  • Some times the quest master reveal if a choice is good or bad.
  • Some times the quest master reveal all objectives ahead for time.
  • Sometimes quest master forgets to give players a reward for success. Players can always ask for a reward.
  • Auto-generated scene image is often off the mark.
