Inspiration

Baron wants to feed his cat better and when he's away.

What it does

Feeds a pet when it gets close, allows user to feed it manually and control how much it feeds, tracks when pet is last fed and distance away from pet.

How we built it

Cardboard, tape, hot glue, Arduino, distance sensor, servo motor, rtc clock.

Challenges we ran into

Making the container for the food structurally intact, trying (and failing) to use an infrared sensor for pet detection.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Actually integrating hardware with software.

What we learned

How to apply our knowledge of sensors, actuators, and IoT to make a cool project.

What's next

Implement a cool down functionality so pets don't constantly come back and eat.
