Inspiration

We began to develop on Android 3 years ago, since then develop various mobile applications and web, our first application was similar to EasyTaxi application, while working with this application we realized that taxi drivers were suffering a lot to find their passengers and passengers is much complicated to order a taxi.

What it does

Taxer is a mobile application that enables drivers to place a bookmark or stop indicating where they could be, allowing cab drivers do not depend on notifications tedious or complicated processes, besides allowing users need not be sending notifications. Users will only see the stops and will have to approach them to take their taxi, but before reviewing your information.

How we built it

The application is built on Android. For the server side we created an application that is running in express, a framework of nodejs

Challenges we ran into

Taxi drivers and understand their needs, considering also have the highest usability for both users and taxi drivers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A great usability by the applications, since only need to press a button. Besides that we think we have achieved a great easy, minimalist design.

What we learned

We learned that taxi drivers are too busy to be aware of notifications and a good experience gives better results.

What's next for TaxerApp

We want to add carpools, since we now add the option "busy", but it still shows the marker to indicate that this busy. This we add the functionality to add to where the passenger who took the cab allowing others can also accompany heads.
