Tax Protest Automation

Inspiration

The fact that all homeowners are eligible to protest their taxes but less than 20% actually do.

What it does

The AI Agent automatically generates a real estate market report for homeowners to submit as evidence for the tax protest. Then it emails the research to the user along with instructions and links on how to submit it online.

How we built it

I used Taskade to create the workflow and the LLM behind the scenes is ChatGPT 4o.

Challenges we ran into

Unfortunately, Taskade doesn't allow users to perform actions outside of the application, so I wasn't able to automatically submit the report for users. In addition, the prompt output for the real estate market report doesn't consistently produce the same format.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite it's limitations, this tool will save homeowners time in researching what to use as evidence and how to submit it online.

What we learned

I learned that there are many different "hacks" you can use to simply get a product out there. After running into obstacles, I was still able to provide time saving tool to end users.

What's next for Tax Protest Automation

As AI development is accelerating, it's possible we can have this automation closed loop once Taskade upgrades.
