To check how crowded the Tawaf is before doing "Tawaf al wadeaa and Tawaf al Ifadah"

Inspiration

Some of the team members preformed Hajj last year and sensed the demand for an app or a tool to tell and predict the how crowded Tawaf is.

What it does

it shall give real time data about how crowded Tawaf is and predicts the crowed on the future so the user choose when to go to Tawaf.

How we built it

we used ionic platform to develop IOS and android applications at the same time in addition to a web page

Challenges we ran into

  • how to represent the crowds factor (a number, a message or a color) in which form
  • collecting previous data for the app to train on (and figuring an alternative of data absence )
  • what type of data to use ( Image data, visitors flow data or hajj tracking bracelets )
  • how to process the data so the app can determine how crowded Tawaf is

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • the algorithm we used to process the data and come up with a factor inspired from university research
  • the design and the user experience of the application; we figured the most easy UX for the user to get the information in the shortest time possible

What we learned

we learned to turn a problem into a solution from different mindsets and ideas and we managed to fully agree on it

What's next for Tawaf

to have Tawaf serve Muslims from all around the world to preform Hajj in the smoothest way possible
