Inspiration

TAVNO is inspired by the idea that everyday tasks can become meaningful quests. By turning simple needs into opportunities, the platform encourages collaboration and builds stronger communities. It also draws inspiration from role‑playing games, where each user becomes a hero completing missions. Finally, TAVNO is motivated by social impact, empowering people to share skills, help others, and create a fair, collaborative economy.

What it does

TAVNO is a community‑driven quest marketplace. It connects people who need help with those who have the skills and time to provide it. Users can publish tasks, browse opportunities by category, accept quests that interest them, and earn rewards while building their reputation.

How we built it

We built TAVNO using the fundamentals of web development: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. To accelerate development, we used Gemini for AI‑powered assistance and VS Code Agent as our coding environment, which helped streamline debugging and deployment.

Challenges we ran into

We had a lot of difficulty implementing the Gemini AI into our project. Integrating it with our existing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS base was more complex than expected, and required extra time to understand how to connect the tools properly. This slowed down development and forced us to troubleshoot new issues, but it also gave us valuable experience in working with AI integration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built the core of TAVNO using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, creating a functional and accessible platform. We managed to integrate Gemini AI support into our workflow despite the challenges, which gave us valuable experience in AI implementation. We designed a system where users can publish, accept, and complete quests, earning rewards and building their reputation. Finally, we’re proud of creating a platform that promotes community collaboration and empowerment, turning everyday tasks into opportunities.

What we learned

We learned how to combine JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build a functional platform from scratch. We gained experience in AI integration, especially with Gemini, which taught us how to adapt new tools into our workflow. We discovered the importance of debugging and testing, since solving errors was key to making TAVNO stable. Finally, we learned that building a platform is not just technical—it’s also about user experience and community impact.

What’s next for TAVNO

Our next step is to improve the AI integration, making Gemini more stable and useful for users. We plan to expand features like better quest categories, advanced search, and gamification to keep the platform engaging. We also want to focus on mobile accessibility, so users can publish and accept quests directly from their phones. Finally, we aim to grow the community, encouraging more people to join and build a collaborative economy together
