🌱 Inspiration

It began with a simple question during a brainstorming session:
How can we reimagine recommendations in a truly personal and meaningful way?

There are already countless platforms suggesting songs, movies, or places—but we wanted to create something deeper.
What if we brought everything—music, movies, books, food, travel—together into one culturally intelligent ecosystem?

That’s when we discovered Qloo—and it changed everything.
As data scientists, we’ve always craved more context-rich datasets. Qloo’s real-time cultural graph offered just that: rich, cross-domain insight into global taste.
It wasn’t just “more data,” it was living insight.

"What could we build if we understood taste as a network of connections?"

We quickly built a POC. Once we saw archetypes, recommendations, and taste overlaps come alive—it clicked.
That’s how Taste was born.

Qloo’s cultural intelligence fuels everything in Taste. Once a user completes their quiz and receives their archetype, we map their preferences and call Qloo’s API to get dynamic suggestions across domains:

🧩 Challenges We Overcame

We’ll be honest—UI/UX wasn’t our strength when we started.
But we listened, learned, and iterated.
