Inspiration

Group dining decisions usually end in "anything is fine" followed by nobody being happy. I wanted a tiny tool where everyone throws in a few taste references and the group gets a shortlist they can all say yes to.

What it does

Each person adds up to 3 public taste references (food, music, film, places — no names or personal data). The app resolves them through the Qloo taste graph, pulls place insights per interest set for the chosen city, and ranks the overlap with a consensus score. Anyone can veto one result and trigger a single replan.

How I built it

A small server on Cloudflare Workers calls the Qloo hackathon API (search, tags, insights) server-side so the API key never reaches the browser. A static front end collects interest sets and renders the ranked shortlist with per-set scores.

Challenges

Keeping every third-party call server-side while the UI stays a static page; handling redirect/unsafe inputs safely; making the veto-and-replan flow work in one stateless pass.

Notes

Venue hours, availability, and prices are not verified — recommendations reflect Qloo taste affinity only. Built with AI coding assistants; I defined the requirements and verified the results.
